Julie Buzzelli is currently the Adjunct Assisant Professor of Harp at Bowling Green State University. She is an accomplished performer and teacher and has been active in both the national and international harp community.
Ms. Buzzelli is the former principal harpist of the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra. In 2015 she was asked to perform with the Lexington Bach Festival Orchestra in Lexington, Michigan. She has also played with the Toledo Symphony Orchestra, Lima Symphony Orchestra, American Wind Symphony Orchestra, Augusta Symphony Orchestra, Spartanburg Symphony Orchestra, and Hendersonville Symphony Orchestra.
As a soloist, she has appeared with orchestras in the U.S. and Canada and toured the United States as a Young Artist under the auspices of the American Harp Society. She has also performed in Holland, the Isle of Man, Israel, Switzerland, and France.
As a chamber musician she works frequently with area musicians. She has appeared on WGTE’s award-winning program Live! from FM 91 on several occasions.
Currently, Julie is a featured artist on RadiantTV where she can be heard playing her own beautiful arrangements of hymn tunes intermingled with classical pieces of music. Learn more about RadiantTV's beginnings here.
A native of Dayton, Ohio, Julie received her Master of Music Degree in Harp Performance from Bowling Green State University. She lives in Bowling Green, Ohio.
